VEEDERSBURG — Blaine Harper, 63, of 501 W. Harrison St., Veedersburg, died early today in Veterans Hospital at Indianapolis. He had been ill several months. Mr. Harper was a member of Sterling Christian Church, Veedersburg Masonic Lodge, Zorah Shrine of Terre Haute, Scottish Rite of Terre Haute, Western Indiana Shrine Club, American Legion, Covington VFW and Goa Grotto of Danville, Ill. He was employed by Dri-All Grain Co. at Mellott. He had served in Europe in World War II. Mr. Harper was born Nov. 27, 1912, at Veedersburg, a son of James and Effie Morgan Harper. Surviving are his mother; two brothers, Gordon of New Market and Ross of Veedersburg; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Parham Funeral Home at Veedersburg with Minister Tim Adams officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.  --typed by Walt W
